  It is going to take a few days for my 24v power supply to arrive, so the laser is effectively on hold.

  In the meantime, will be playing with a used mini cnc mill I grabbed cheap off of eBay, combining it with a China-sourced cnc controller/stepper motor driver board, the instructions for which appear to have been, at best, machine translated. It has a heartbeat, but has yet to actually make any intentional movements.
